大舅告诉我东北话管陪客人叫陪“且”，我猜应该是陪戚这两个字，可音是发“且”。我们家虽然不是东北人，可是优良传统之一就是善于陪“且”。这一优良传统传到我就更得到了发扬。回想起来，从去年夏天开始，每个月都有从外地来的亲戚朋友到家来小住个几天。昨天在网上和颀姐聊天，聊到我这两天在陪两个姑姑玩儿，她说，“呵呵，要不你自己搞个旅行社吧！我看一年到头，你的接待任务都挺重的”。这个主意倒是挺好，可是我也不是谁都接待，我只陪我喜欢的“且”。而且如果让我以此为生的话，估计我也就谈“且”色变了。被我陪过的“且”对我的评价还都不错，回顾率也还是有的。“且”快乐，于是我快乐。我想东岸的接"且”专业户沫沫也是有同感的。

 

和东岸来的小清姑姑上一次见面是2002年，和上海来的小明姑姑在去年之前的最后一次见面是在1995年。如果不抓住能在一起的每一机会，谁知下一次见面会等多久？

Friday afternoon, I was driving to teach as usual.  Phone rang and it was an old co-worker, Terry, caught me by surprise.  It's always nice to catch up with an old friend, so we chatted on the phone for a bit before I heard this loud noise from the road, "hope it's not coming from my car", just as I had that thought, a truck pulled to my side and broke the news to me - I've got a flat tire! 

 

 

 

周日晚上和婷婷去演出，十點半才回到她家，真是飢寒交迫。只聼婷婷一聲吆喝，“honey!”  Vincent立刻就從2樓飛奔了下來，“一定餓坏了吧，來來來，晚餐馬上就好。"隨之而來的是Vincent精心準備的4 course dinner: Spinach salad with tomatos, beans and sausage; Honey glazed chicken wings; New York Steak done in medium rare (which was mirinated perfectly by him); and finished with homemade cheesecake topped with homemade cherry jam.  Did I say that everything was HOMEMADE enough?  The food was too good to be true!  If I get obesity b/c of Vincent's cooking, I wouldn't regret it cuz it's all worth it!  Not only the food was wonderful, the service was fantastic as well! 婷婷說，“琪兒喜歡看Law & Order，老公你找找哪個台還在放”。不到2分鐘，我們就看上了Law & Order。

回家的路上，我不僅多了一盒牛排帶回家，更多了一份信心：世上的好男人還沒完全絕種！

 

Every ending relationship needs a closure.  A conversation, sometimes, that finds out the breakup was not a mistake.  Sometimes it takes years to find that closure, sometimes, just weeks. If you do a closure one day, close it with a sincere wish for your once significante other to move on..

当你的blog一个月都没有更新，有大概两种情形：1。太忙，只要有空就在补觉；2。太闲，实在没什么可写的。我是介乎两者之间。忙，也是在忙不靠谱的事；闲，还真没哪天睡过个整觉。4月15号就要演出了，我却一点也不兴奋，只想快点结束吧，我就可以get on with my life。

一年两次，一次1-2周的合家乐时段又到了。真是开心能无拘无束的一直陪吃陪喝。在接风宴上，我突然感到过去的9年都不在父母身边，过得太快了。于是感慨道，“怎么我还没享受童年就已经长大了？！”，我爸反问道， “怎么我还没年轻过就老了？！”。 舅舅眨了眨眼，“怎么我还没浪漫过就离了两次婚了呢？！” 亲爱的舅舅，别急，IT'S NEVER TOO LATE FOR THAT!

Thanks to momo, I was introduced to the observation deck of the Rockefeller Center.  Briliantly planned by momo, we saw both of the day view and the night view.  What a kicker for my last night in NYC!  Dinner with momo, her mom, Sera, mimi, Jake and Miles concluded the night with a perfect picture kept in my memory box.  Thanks all, you did again for me!

"New York New York - it's so good that you have to say it twice!"  Besides loving being transported publicly, there's always the gang, including nicole, betty, sera, mingxin, etc., that makes me love nyc more and more.  I'm starting to seriously question myself if this is my next stop in life.  In the meantime, I'll just enjoy the reunion pics!

I'm doing gift shows in Atlanta this week.  Pass by this sign every day as I ride the Marta.  I can't help but to adore it!  What an intimate feeling a simple sign brings to life.  Instead of "drop-off point", "pick-up only", or "loading zone", it is "Kiss Ride".  Whoever came up with the idea was a genius; whoever approved the idea was a true leader and a true lover. 

Giving a ride to someone, especially your loved ones, has been seen as an errand that we have to unwillingly run.   Do you still remember being picked up by your parents from the kindergarten?  I do.  The only 2 people who I wanted to go home with were there to welcome me home.  Whatever happened earlier in the day didn't matter from that point on because to me, I was home already the moment I saw my parents.  

I wish there are more little things like the "Kiss Ride" sign.  They will help us to remember that to care and to love someone could be expressed in every little way, such as, picking them up from the train station.  Now that cheers up Cheer.

这几天因为马妍，韩薇及老公kevin的来访去了不少tourist spots. 其中当然不能少了the happiest place on earth - Disney Land. 现在的票价为$59，还好我校有卖discounted tickets, 两个park (Disney & CA Adventure) $59，还可以不同天去。昨天为了赚回票价，我和johnny去了CA Adventure。想到我最爱的rides, 真是满心欢喜，连蹦带跳的还以为自己还17呢。排队上Maliboomer，看着那180 feet 高的直线上冲，怎么越看越发怵呢？不对，以前我是每年必去six flags去享受这种刺激的，今天也许是太兴奋了，有点找不着法儿。系上了安全带，等着工作人员来检查，心里突然出现一个念头：万一我的冲到一半的时候安全带松开了怎么办，或者下降的时候座椅断裂了, 那那那。。。还没想完，就听嗖的一声我就飞了上去，这叫一个不舒服，全身上下脑袋晕。短短的几秒好像27年那么长，想到的只有 “这有什么好玩的”。这整个一个花钱找罪受 - 啊，这不正是我妈总说的么 - -原来真的是老了。。。

Never been in NYC in a January. I heard it's worse than December, is it true?  But thanks for momo who's taking me in again, I will most definitely feel the warmth of NYC more than anything else =) love you momo.  I wanna go see 店长 again =P

I'm now officially an aunt!  Ian Raymond Liu, son of my cousin Chang Liu and wife Ying Yang, was born flawlessly on Nov. 23, 2006.  Even though it makes me sound so much older, I'm still very very happy to be an aunt of such an adorable little boy.  Funny where life takes you and how fast it takes you, I still remember my cousin being a kid himself just last time I saw him, now he's all grown up and has a kid of his own... 

 

I want to be a good aunt, a cool aunt, the aunt that he comes to have fun with, the aunt that he comes for comfort, for advice, for support, for motivation, for inspiration, for anything that he needs to grow up to be a good person - I want to be a Super Aunt!  Does that mean I have to put myself together and start acting good now?...

15岁的时候照过一次艺术照，黑白的。现在看看真是清纯可爱。本想20岁再照一次的，可是一来美国就被拙劣的照相技术及吓死人的天价给耽误了。上个月一个偶然而又必然的机会让我在27岁之前照了成熟以后的一组艺术照。

 

有人说，爱照相的人就是爱臭美；我认为，在爱美的同时，我们更在乎的是此时此刻的心情，通过一张一张的照片而被保存被纪念。
