5月26日 雪中送炭Friday afternoon, I was driving to teach as usual. Phone rang and it was an old co-worker, Terry, caught me by surprise. It's always nice to catch up with an old friend, so we chatted on the phone for a bit before I heard this loud noise from the road, "hope it's not coming from my car", just as I had that thought, a truck pulled to my side and broke the news to me - I've got a flat tire!
"Terry, I've got a flat!"
"You need help changing to your spare? It'd only take me 5 minutes."
"I'll just call AAA since it's probably gonna take you forever to get to me."
"Where are you?"
"I'm on 605 heading to Artesia"
"Well, that's where I am"
With my car shaking so bad, I couldn't think how true "that's where I am" was but to take the next exit out. As I drove up to 91 to get to the nearest stop, there I saw, Terry's car, right infront of mine on the jammed 91. It was true, he was really where I was; and I was finally stopped by a helping hand instead of a broken tire.
I learned 2 things with my tire down to the rim:
